On the 9th of March 2007 Workshop on Evaluation the Sectoral Qualifications in the Framework of Vocational Qualifıcations Authority (VQA) has been held in Izmir. You may download the agenda from here.
On the 13th of February 2007 the bi-monthly management meeting of MEGEP (SVET) Project has been held in Ankara. MoNE Deputy Undersecretaries Mr Salih Celik and Mehmet Temel, ETF Representative Milena Corradini, ECD Task Manager Prof Dr Mustafa Balcı, Representatives of Social Partners, MoNE DGs and Department Directors, Regional and Central Technical Assistance Team participated in the meeting.

Between the 26th of November and the 3rd of December 2006 a study visit to Scotland and Ireland has been completed by some members of the Inspectors Board headed by the Deputy Undersecretary Salih Celik and the Head of the Inspectors Board Muzaffer Dogan.
On the 16th of November 2006 SVET Quality Assurance Seminar has been held in Ankara about the activities done in Nicolaus-August-Otto-Berufskolleg Köln Vocational School. You can access the Turkish pdf version of the Handbook about Organization Development and Quality Management from here.
On the 15th and the 16th of November 2006 the training activity of the Local Labour Market Need Analysis Handbook prepared within the context of Labour Market Module has been held by Ankara Region Change Agent Teachers and Is Kur representatives. The Provincial Employment Counsel and Provincial Vocational Counsel attended the meeting. These Counsels have been informed about the Local Labour Market Need Analysis. The similar activities will also be held in other regions including twice in Istanbul.

On the 4th of November 2006 Vocational Qualification System Workshop was held by the cooperation of THY and MEGEP in Istanbul THY Training Center.
During the first week of November, MEGEP has welcomed a study group from Romania. The group was composed of representatives of the Ministry of Education and Research, National Council for Curriculum, Ministry of Labour, Social Solidarity and Family, National Agency for Employment, Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Pre-University Education, National Adult Training Board, Social partners (Employers Union and Trade Union) and the National Centre for the Development of the Vocational Education and Training (NCDVET). The Director of Project Coordination Center Erdogan Serdengeçti, Section Director of Board of Education Dr. Recep Altın, Director of SVET Project Osman Yalçın and SVET Co-Experts presented the Romanian group on the new VET approach in Turkey. The Deputy Director of NCDVET Mrs. Zoica Vladut gave an interview to the MEGEP newsletter.
